Founded in 2015, Honor Packaging Technology (Huizhou) Co. Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “Honor”) has been serving several international and domestic renowned brands, such as Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown, Becca, Dior, etc. in the production of all kinds of high-end air cushioning BB cream, powder box, lipstick, lip gloss, mascara and other cosmetics packaging materials. With its annual output exceeding 80 million yuan, 90 percent of the products are exported to Europe, U.S., etc. From the beginning of manufacturing the first series of products to the present state, Honor has been using Yizumi’s injection molding machines.
Improve Productivity and Striving for “Zero-Defect” in Product Quality
From the first machine of SK series to A5S series, Honor purchased more than 30 injection molding machines to implement a fully automated production process, mainly producing the packaging containers for cosmetics products.

To achieve producing products with zero defects, Honor has been constantly working very hard. Among the many packaging containers of cosmetics products, Tiger Lam is particularly very satisfied with a series of Maybelline blush box. The 3 parts of blush box cover, powder holder and box bottom are all produced by Yizumi’s A5 Series 320T injection molding machine. The formation cycle of each part is maintained at about 40s and a stable production of 8 cavities is achieved.
“Take a look at this transparent cover. Any flow marks, bubbles, black spots, discoloration and other defects cannot be concealed. It has a very high requirement for the injection molding technology. The adjustment range of Yizumi’s A5 Series processes is very precise. At the same time, we have been using the hot runner die and the passing rate of the finished products is almost 98 percent,” Tiger Lam cited.

The pursuit of fashion, novelty in the packaging styles of cosmetics products is ever-changing. “The packaging market for cosmetics products is highly competitive. The lifespan of a series of packaging appearance may only last for about 1 year. We must elevate efficiency and reduce costs before we can win over our clients,” Tiger Lam said. In the sea of products, the daily output for this series of fragrant milk container is the biggest, reaching 100,000 units. They are simultaneously produced by 4 Yizumi’s A5 Series 320T injection molding machines with a 16-cavity mold. The production cycle for the containers is about 48s; the caps being about 30s. The passing rate for the injection molding part is 98 per cent.

Focus on T-Mold Injection Molding – A Breakthrough in Thick-Walled Container Molding
Nearly 40 percent of Honor’s products consist of thick-walled containers, such as the packaging shell of lip gloss and eye shadows. Yizumi’s SK Series injection molding machines have been deployed to produce these products.
In the Open House of Yizumi’s factory in 2019, Yizumi showcased the application solution of T-Mold injection molding for cosmetics cream bottles, drawing the attention of Honor and Estee Lauder’s person-in-charge. The T-Mold injection molding technology does not require expanding the shot volume and mold-opening stroke of the injection molding machines. It can alternately and continuously form multiple products and it is applicable to be used in products with a certain wall thickness and slightly longer production cycle. Yizumi’s A5 Series Upgraded Version High-End Servo injection molding machines will be leveraging on this technology to produce 2 different cosmetics cream bottles with the same mold, delivering a highly efficient, highly cost-effective solution for the packaging industry of cosmetics products.
Tiger Lam believed that the thick-walled containers, like lip gloss containers are relatively suitable to use the T-Mold Injection Molding Technology. In a preliminary forecast, the molding cycle can be improved by 40 per cent. To date, they have been researching in the development of a corresponding upgraded thick-walled product together with Yizumi and the clients.

With the rise of healthy lifestyles and consumerism, the packaging industry for cosmetics products has also been following the emerging trends of green environment, constantly developing new materials and new technologies. Tiger Lam predicted that the plastic packaging in the future must definitely adopt raw materials that can be recycled. As of now, Honor has been using new materials to apply on the pilot production of Yizumi’s injection molding machines. For example, using Yizumi’s A5 Series injection molding machine to produce this series of foundation box with “PLA materials” that are fully biodegradable. “Its quality has been recognized by the clients. The products made by Yizumi can meet the clients’ needs. For the next step, it has been planned for mass production, and extending the application to other thick-walled products, like lipstick,” Jason Zhang, Production Director of Honor Packaging Technology Co., Ltd., introduced.

In the application area of recycled materials, Honor has also been initiating research and development. Owing to the different characteristics of recycled materials and traditional plastics, it can determine the new requirements of the molten liquids, injection molding, and other processes in the injection molding machines. “The collaboration with Yizumi is the development of product and machinery in tandem. From now onwards, apart from purchasing the main machines, we certainly hope to join hands with Yizumi to create breakthroughs in the application of new materials for all solutions.
