CHINA DIECASTING 2026 | Day 2: Jiangxi Chicheng Selects YIZUMI RHEO Series for Semi-Solid Production

On July 16, during CHINA DIECASTING 2026, Jiangxi Chicheng Precision Casting Co., Ltd. signs an agreement with YIZUMI to purchase a RHEO Series Al Rheocasting Machine, marking a new milestone in replacing conventional low-pressure casting with semi-solid technology.

Designed to overcome the inherent limitations of conventional high-pressure die casting, the RHEO series combines ultra-low-speed laminar filling with high-pressure intensification to significantly improve casting integrity and mechanical performance.

Co-developed through YIZUMI's China-Europe R&D platform, the RHEO series features a fully closed-loop Rheocast injection system with real-time process control. It delivers system pressure up to 21 MPa, casting pressure exceeding 200 MPa, and a pressure build-up time of just 5 ms, ensuring stable production of high-quality, complex aluminum components.

The RHEO series also delivers significant performance improvements. It reduces porosity from 3–5% to below 0.5% and achieves a density of over 99.5%. Shrinkage porosity is reduced by more than 70%, while T6 heat treatment becomes possible. Tensile strength and fatigue life improve by 15–30%. Product yield increases from 55% to over 97%, and die life exceeds 110,000 shots. These advantages make the RHEO series well suited for applications in new energy vehicles, telecommunications and transportation.

Founded in 2019, Jiangxi Chicheng is located in Yugan County, Shangrao, Jiangxi Province, China. The Guangdong Institute of New Materials under the Guangdong Academy of Sciences holds a 22.5% stake in the company. Relying on its proprietary HQ material series, the company supplies lightweight components for engines, transmissions, compressors, commercial vehicles and chassis systems.

The company previously relied on low-pressure casting. By adopting the RHEO series, it is upgrading its manufacturing process while becoming the first customer to replace low-pressure casting with YIZUMI's semi-solid technology.

This partnership will help accelerate new product development and mass production. It also supports the wider industrial adoption of semi-solid forming technology.
