| Navigating Industry Changes

On the afternoon, Mr. Zhang Dunji, Product Manager for LEAP Series Die Casting Machine of YIZUMI Die Casting Machine Division, delivers a presentation titled YIZUMI Die Casting in transition.

Zhang notes that annual growth in the global die casting machine market has slowed to 1%–2%, marking a shift toward competition for market share. Competition is moving from production capacity to value, with casting yield, energy consumption per part and equipment utilization becoming key factors in winning orders.

He outlines five major industry shifts: slower overall growth alongside emerging demand from energy storage and humanoid robotics; overcapacity, with utilization rates for die casting lines above 6,000 tons often below 60%; the reshaping of global production as customers expand overseas; growing demand for stable, sustainable production rather than equipment alone; and Chinese suppliers’ share of the global installed base exceeding 45%.

Despite slower market growth, new opportunities continue to emerge in electric vehicle lightweighting, energy storage and humanoid robotics. Customers increasingly seek reliable, integrated production solutions rather than standalone machines. Developing differentiated capabilities through complete solutions has therefore become a key challenge for the industry.

Zhang identifies five technology directions for the next five years: appropriately scaled machines, diversified materials, real-time closed-loop process control, AI applications, and energy management with lifecycle services. Process data and digital reuse will also help reduce reliance on individual technicians’ experience and support consistent, large-scale production.

| YIZUMI’s Response Through Integrated Solutions

YIZUMI is pursuing a strategy built around six shifts. Its LEAP, NEXT² and HⅡseries cover clamping forces from 180 to 20,000 tons. The company is advancing semi-solid processing for magnesium and aluminium, combining ORCA and Yi-Cast for five-layer closed-loop control, and applying AI to process monitoring, parameter recommendations and predictive maintenance to reduce mold trials. Integrated solutions connect equipment, processes, automation and digitalization, with support for mold management, quality and energy efficiency.

YIZUMI has installed more than 10,000 die casting machines worldwide and continues to expand its overseas service network, using local spare parts and on-site engineers to improve response times. Zhang emphasizes that YIZUMI will continue to advance AI-driven processes, expand its material technology portfolio, reduce energy consumption per part and strengthen its global service network, delivering reliable technology and service as it works with customers worldwide for long-term growth.
