Customer Story: Drinda × YIZUMI—3,400 Tons of Capacity for Golf Cart Production in Vietnam

Hainan Drinda Automotive Trim Co., Ltd. (Drinda) has expanded its manufacturing operations to Vietnam to support the growing golf cart market.

With YIZUMI's UN3400D1S two-platen injection molding machine and local technical support, Drinda is establishing stable production capacity for large plastic parts.

01 | Entering a New Market

In 2025, Hainan Drinda Automotive Trim Co., Ltd. (Drinda) expanded into southern Vietnam as part of its customers' overseas manufacturing plans. Established in 2003, Drinda has extensive experience supplying interior and exterior components to automotive OEMs. Its 20,000-square-meter Vietnam facility is operated by hundreds of Chinese and Vietnamese employees, with the company now expanding into plastic components for golf carts.

The new operation also brought new challenges. Language barriers, differences in workforce experience, limited local resources for large-mold maintenance and higher logistics costs all added complexity to production. In this environment, equipment stability and local technical support became key considerations.

For Drinda, the Vietnam project was also its first cooperation with YIZUMI. After evaluating equipment performance, overall cost and production capacity, Drinda selected YIZUMI for its combination of stability, molding precision and energy efficiency, particularly in large-tonnage machines.

02 | A 3,400-Ton Solution for Large Components

Drinda installed YIZUMI's UN3400D1S two-platen injection molding machine at its Vietnam factory.

Golf cart plastic components place high demands on mold size and clamping force, leaving little room for equipment selection. Drinda therefore chose a 3,400-ton machine from the outset, providing the capacity required for current production while allowing room for future large-part applications.

The machine has demonstrated stable and efficient performance in mass production. Large golf cart components are produced continuously with controlled molding processes, while product quality and production efficiency meet the project's targets. Its compact two-platen design also helps optimize factory space.

For Drinda, the production results have confirmed the equipment choice.

03 | Local Support for Production Stability

Equipment performance is only part of the equation when establishing production overseas. During commissioning and production ramp-up, YIZUMI's technical team provided on-site support to help Drinda bring the line into stable operation.

When technical issues arose, YIZUMI's local service team responded quickly and provided on-site assistance to minimize downtime.

This capability is supported by YIZUMI's long-term presence in Vietnam. Since its local subsidiary began operations in 2019, YIZUMI has established a service system covering sales, spare parts and technical support, with service locations across key manufacturing regions.
