On October 26, YIZUMI held the closing and awards ceremony for 2026 Quality Month at the Global Innovation Center. Under the theme “United for Quality, Built for Excellence,” the two-month initiative focused on strengthening quality management, developing talent and embedding quality into the company culture.

The ceremony also recognized individuals and teams for outstanding contributions and presented awards for Quality Stars, outstanding Quality Control Circle (QCC) activities and excellent improvement proposals. The recognition honored frontline employees and encouraged broader participation in identifying challenges and driving improvement.

In the closing remarks, Mr. Richard Yan, Chairman and CEO of YIZUMI emphasized that lasting competitiveness comes from a consistent commitment to quality, not isolated breakthroughs.

Facing market shifts, what sustains YIZUMI's steady progress is not scale, not price, but quality. Quality competitiveness is the very foundation of YIZUMI's customer trust, and the strongest hallmark of its brand.

He stressed that quality must be managed throughout the entire value chain. It is not the responsibility of a few designated roles, but a commitment shared by every employee. He outlined three priorities:

  • Strengthen leadership accountability and put the company’s quality principles into practice: full participation, continuous improvement, striving for excellence and the pursuit of outstanding quality.

  • Improve product reliability through stronger management systems and digital-intelligence capabilities.

  • Sustain quality improvement year-round, using Quality Month as a catalyst for long-term action.

He called on all YIZUMIers to safeguard quality as a business lifeline and turn the shared commitment built during Quality Month into everyday practice.

| Building Capabilities: A Structured Approach to Quality Improvement

This year’s Quality Month followed three stages: training and awareness in September, competitions and certification in October, and final evaluation and awards. Centered on talent development and problem-solving, the program integrated training, competitions, themed knowledge-sharing sessions and certification assessments.

Four courses addressed different needs. Management and technical staff received training in 6-Sigma, R&D quality management and quality prevention to bring quality considerations into earlier stages of product development. New employees took basic quality courses to establish a solid foundation. Practical activities included quality knowledge and measurement skills competitions, 8D problem-solving certification, and evaluations for Quality Stars, outstanding QCC activities and excellent improvement proposals.

The activities strengthened cross-functional collaboration, with non-quality departments accounting for 80% of participants. A total of 24 QCC teams participated in project evaluations, helping drive high-quality development through practical quality improvements. Based on January–September data, the contribution of QCC activities increased by 98% year on year, demonstrating how quality improvement can deliver measurable business value.

Compared with last year, the initiative moved from top-down requirements toward shared ownership and institutionalized practices. For the first time, YIZUMI introduced a Zero Defects policy and a quality red-line system, turning guiding principles into formal management requirements. A regular quality information platform was established to preserve and share cases and experience, while new development and recognition pathways—including 8D certification and the Quality Star program—supported a shift from post-incident correction to prevention.

| Sustaining Progress: Quality is Everyone’s Responsibility

YIZUMI continues to incorporate quality capabilities into its long-term qualification framework, advancing certification for quality engineers and employees in key frontline roles, including O-category employees. Covering engineers, technical personnel and inspection teams, this approach builds a quality talent pipeline that can develop over time.

It also aligns with YIZUMI Academy’s mission to “Global Expertise & Global Growth.” The Academy develops management and technical experts, while its internal trainer program encourages experienced employees to share their knowledge and move from learners to trainers. Through structured training, practical competitions, qualification certification and knowledge transfer, quality expertise can be developed and shared rather than relying solely on individual experience.

  • QCC activities: Standardized documentation captures reusable practices for production and inspection.

  • Improvement proposals: A complete process—from submission and evaluation to pilot testing, rollout and rewards—operates on a monthly and quarterly basis.

  • Training: Course materials are incorporated into the annual corporate training program as mandatory training for new employees and refresher training for existing staff.

  • Knowledge sharing: The quality information platform and corporate WeChat account regularly feature Quality Star stories, QCC results and improvement cases, turning individual experience into shared organizational knowledge.

YIZUMI’s 2026 Quality Month has concluded, but quality improvement continues. The company will build on the results of the initiative by strengthening its quality management system, applying digital technologies and integrating improvement practices into daily operations. These efforts will help improve product quality and reliability over the long term.
