On April 29, YIZUMI officially launched YIZUMI Academy at Global Innovation Center, marking a new step in its global talent strategy. Positioned as the core platform for strengthening organizational capabilities, the corporate university represents a new chapter in YIZUMI's long-term development.
Nearly 200 core managers gathered on-site, while managers from other locations joined online. Following 23 consecutive years of growth, YIZUMI is now accelerating its shift from business-driven expansion toward organization-driven development.
01.「Background」
From Individual Experience to Organizational Capability
YIZUMI has achieved 23 consecutive years of growth, thanks to its dedication and hard work over the years. At the unveiling ceremony, Chairman and CEO of YIZUMI, and Dean of YIZUMI Academy, Mr. Richard Yan, acknowledged this long-term achievement, while also pointing out that individual experience and isolated capabilities are no longer sufficient.
This assessment stems from the challenges faced after 20 years of global expansion. As the business has expanded globally, different divisions have talented people, but their valuable experience is not systematically captured — and can be lost when they leave. Meanwhile, the R&D team of over 900 people spans China, Germany, the United States, and India, requiring a strong talent pipeline to support an end-to-end, process-based organization. In addition, the rise of AI has made systematic knowledge accumulation — without it, there is no foundation for AI applications.
In Mr. Richard Yan's view, the business know-how, management practices, and industry insights are YIZUMI's core assets. However, relying solely on individual expertise is no longer sustainable. Only by systematically capturing, transferring, and elevating dispersed knowledge into organizational capability can the company continue to grow across business cycles.

This is exactly why YIZUMI Academy was established. Guided by the mission of "Organizational Wisdom Powers Industry Talent," YIZUMI Academy aims to make organizational knowledge more accessible, transferable, and scalable, turning organizational capability into a foundation for the YIZUMI's next stage of growth.
02.「Three Priorities」
Strategy, Knowledge Transfer, and Ecosystem Integration
Products have life cycles, and markets experience cyclical fluctuations. In the long run, organizational capability is what sustains growth.
At the unveiling ceremony, Mr. Simon Yu, Deputy Managing Director of YIZUMI and Executive Dean of YIZUMI Academy, outlined three key priorities for the academy.

First, support strategy execution. YIZUMI Academy's training programs are closely aligned with the company's strategy and business needs, enhancing cross-functional execution capabilities. Take the "Transformation" program for example: its newly added modules on "Change Management" and "Overseas HR Management" directly address cross-cultural collaboration challenges arising from globalization. YIZUMI Academy will also focus on developing four key talent groups: business leaders, senior managers, domain experts, and technical specialists, providing talent support for YIZUMI's end-to-end, process-based organization.
Second, transfer organizational knowledge. "YIZUMI's most valuable knowledge lies within YIZUMIers," said Mr. Simon Yu, encouraging managers, technical experts, and key employees to share their experience and lessons learned. YIZUMI Academy has established an internal trainer program, encouraging managers to develop at least one course and treat teaching as an essential part of leadership — shifting from being trained to developing others.
Third, foster cultural integration and ecosystem collaboration. Guided by the values of openness, practice-oriented learning, continuous improvement, and a global mindset, YIZUMI Academy aims to strengthen cross-cultural integration across global teams. Concurrently, it will deepen cooperation between industry, academia, and research institutions, extending its impact beyond the company and growing together with industry partners.
03.「Long-term Accumulation」
From Scattered Exploration to System Integration
YIZUMI Academy is built on long-term development rather than a single initiative. It began with the joint Polymer and Light Alloy Forming Technology Center with Huazhong University of Science and Technology, followed by a postgraduate training base and "Excellence Program" with Guangdong University of Technology. In recent years, our global R&D network has been further extended spanning, Germany, Italy, the United States, and India. All of these form a talent development system integrating industry, academia, and research.
YIZUMI Academy brings together previously scattered efforts into a structured talent development platform. Built on a global "multi-campus" framework, it enables the flow and integration of intellectual resources across locations. Advanced materials research in Aachen, Germany, precision manufacturing expertise in Italy, and industrial application experience in China all contribute as shared inputs to strengthening organizational capability.
"At today's unveiling of YIZUMI Academy, we are also setting YIZUMI's next stage of evolution in motion," said Mr. Richard Yan in his closing remarks. "Let YIZUMI Academy mark a new beginning — where we learn, build, and pass on knowledge together, and empower YIZUMI to go beyond industry cycles and evolve into a truly world-class enterprise.
The first business leadership program of YIZUMI Academy will soon be launched. Moving forward, YIZUMI looks to work with industry partners to jointly develop outstanding talent capable of driving the future in a rapidly changing era.
With a spirit of openness, practice-oriented learning, diverse perspectives, and a global mindset, YIZUMI Academy is officially underway.
