YIZUMI Science & Technology Festival 2026 opens on July 31 at the YIZUMI Global Innovation Center in Shunde.
Held under the theme "Building Smarter, Breaking Boundaries," the two-day event features keynote speeches, technical forums and engineering discussions covering AI, intelligent equipment, advanced materials and other emerging manufacturing technologies. The program brings together experts from academia, industry and YIZUMI to exchange ideas, share practical experience and explore new opportunities for innovation.
The festival opens with welcome remarks from Mr. Richard Yan, Chairman and CEO of YIZUMI, who reflects on the rapid transformation of global manufacturing driven by technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data and advanced materials. He notes that innovation remains the company's core driving force and describes the Science & Technology Festival as a platform for connecting expertise, encouraging new ideas and strengthening collaboration across disciplines.
Referring to this year's theme, "Building Smarter, Breaking Boundaries," Mr. Richard Yan emphasizes that technological leadership depends on both strong engineering fundamentals and an open mindset. While long-term success is built on technical excellence and product reliability, breakthrough innovation comes from integrating diverse expertise and embracing cross-disciplinary collaboration. He encourages YIZUMI's engineers to combine deep technical commitment with the courage to explore new possibilities as the company advances toward technology leadership.
The forum starts with the appointment of external technical experts, who will serve as long-term advisors to YIZUMI, supporting technology strategy, key R&D initiatives and engineering talent development.
Following the appointment ceremony, leading scholars from academia and research institutions share insights into some of the most pressing topics shaping the future of manufacturing, covering AI, intelligent injection molding, autonomous operation technologies and integrated die casting.
Among the keynote presentations:
Ms. Zou Hengqi, Fellow of China SAE, Former Deputy Chief Engineer of Dongfeng Motor Corporation, and Deputy Chair of the Editorial Board of Automobil Industrie, discusses how AI can accelerate manufacturing transformation while maintaining engineering rigor and product quality, highlighting practical approaches to turning AI strategies into engineering applications.
Prof. Gao Furong of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology explores the automation, digitalization and intelligentization of batch injection molding. Using thermoplastic injection molding as an example, he reviews advances in process modeling, monitoring, control and optimization, demonstrates their practical applications, and shares his perspectives on the future of intelligent batch manufacturing.
Prof. Ai Chao of Yanshan University presents recent advances in autonomous operation technologies for complex industrial environments. He discusses adaptive decision-making, coordinated electro-mechanical-hydraulic control inspired by "muscle memory," and performance evaluation with reverse optimization. He concludes by introducing an integrated "decision–execution–evaluation–optimization" framework that enhances autonomous operation in complex and uncertain environments.
Prof. Liu Bo of the University of Science and Technology Beijing presents research on integrated die casting for electric vehicles (EVs). Focusing on large integrated aluminum alloy body structures, he examines how vacuum die casting parameters affect porosity, microstructure and mechanical properties, revealing the inherent non-uniformity of die-cast structural materials. Through systematic research on the coupling of process control and structural performance, he establishes a "shape-and-property co-control" framework to support the coordinated optimization of ultra-large, thin-walled integrated die-cast body structures.
The afternoon session focuses on engineering talent development, featuring perspectives from YIZUMI's technology leaders, HR team and outstanding engineers.

Mr. Jiang Xiaojun, Deputy General Manager of YIZUMI's Injection Molding Machine Business Division, opens the forum by highlighting the importance of engineering talent in supporting YIZUMI's global growth.
