YIZUMI Science & Technology Festival 2026 concludes on August 1 at the YIZUMI Global Innovation Center.
Held under the theme "Building Smarter, Breaking Boundaries," the second day showcases the company's latest progress in intelligent manufacturing, core process technologies and sustainable forming solutions. The program features the Young Engineers Forum, the Golden Ideas Roadshow and the annual Technology Awards, recognizing teams that achieve breakthroughs in core technologies through substantial innovation incentives.
The Young Engineers Forum opens with remarks from Mr. Jiang Xiaojun, Deputy General Manager of YIZUMI Injection Molding Machine Division. Recognizing young engineers as a driving force behind technological innovation, he encourages them to strengthen their technical expertise, embrace innovation and grow through collaboration. He also reaffirms the Technical Committee's commitment to supporting young engineers as they develop into the next generation of technology leaders.
Young engineers present research across a broad range of engineering topics, including mechanical design, hydraulic systems, intelligent control and manufacturing management systems. The presentations span topics from component-level innovation to system-level development.
Together, the projects showcase the technical depth and potential of YIZUMI's next generation of engineers.
The afternoon session features the Golden Ideas Roadshow, where employees present practical ideas for improving products, manufacturing processes and operational efficiency. After multiple rounds of evaluation, six outstanding proposals advance to the final presentations.
In the opening remarks, Dr. Yang Yongmin, Executive Deputy Director of YIZUMI's Technical Management Committee, encourages employees to turn everyday ideas into practical innovations, make better use of AI and other advanced tools to create business value, and openly exchange ideas that can shape YIZUMI's future development.
Participants present the origin of their ideas, implementation process and measurable results, demonstrating how practical ideas evolve into real engineering value.
The festival concludes with the annual Technology Awards Ceremony, featuring the Wellspring of Excellence Award, Technical Standard Achievement Awards, Outstanding Patent Invention Award, Policy Breakthrough Contribution Award, and Technology Progress Award for outstanding contributions across innovation, intellectual property and standards development.
A highlight of the ceremony is the presentation of substantial innovation awards to R&D teams achieving breakthroughs in core technologies, reaffirming YIZUMI's engineering culture of encouraging innovation while embracing failure.
Following the ceremony, Mr. Guo Chunrong of the YIZUMI Research Center for New Process Technology at Global Innovation Center presents the award-winning project Research on the Performance and Mechanisms of Thixomolding technology, recipient of the Grand Prize of the Technology Progress Award, offering further insight into the key process technology.
In the closing remarks, Mr. Richard Yan, Chairman and CEO of YIZUMI, congratulates the award winners and thanks the organizing team as well as engineers across the company for their dedication.
Reflecting on the festival, he highlights nearly 20 technical presentations covering advanced materials, intelligent control, digital die casting cells and green manufacturing technologies. He points to recent advances in the ORCA intelligent control system, LEAP injection system optimization, TPI Thixomolding technical breakthrough and digital die casting solutions as examples of technologies creating tangible value for customers in industries such as Evs (energy vehicles) and consumer electronics.
Looking ahead, Mr. Richard Yan encourages engineers to stay close to market needs and turn technological strengths into greater customer value. He also emphasizes the importance of staying adaptable in a rapidly changing industry, continuously challenging existing approaches and exploring new paths for innovation.
He calls on all YIZUMIer to continue pursuing technical excellence and innovation as the company moves toward its vision of becoming a world-class molding equipment company.
