Structural parts originate from stamping parts, characterized by a large projected area with a relatively small casting weight. Large die-casting machines in the range of 1400-4500 tonnage are required. The filling level is only about 60% of the traditional die-casting.

Unlike conventional die castings, the average wall thickness of structural parts is only about 3mm. In addition, the products require subsequent welding, riveting, and heat treatment.
